When Ryu informed his father Farza that he had learned to send others through the Dimension Corridor, the initial plans had to be significantly changed.
This meant that regardless of Ryu and Leanne’s results, they would advance to the capital city.
As a result, the butler Sebastian, father Farza, and for some reason, mother Cecile and sister Hanna had to move to the capital city.
The innkeeper was surprised when the Landmark family’s group emerged from a guest room, but upon confirming that it was Baron Landmark himself, she welcomed them joyfully.
“First, we need to rent a suitable house to avoid causing trouble for the inn.”
Farza said, so Sebastian had to urgently search for a house.
In any case, a base needed to be prepared, so this was just right.
Mother Cecile and sister Hanna went shopping after leaving the inn.
That was the purpose…
Ryu, who wryly smiled, decided that since it was rare to come to the capital, it couldn’t be helped, and sent them off with the protection of the territorial soldiers.
“What will Father do?”
Ryu asked Farza, who was left behind.
“I will go greet my acquaintances in the capital. Ryu and Leanne should…”
“Sebastian will find a house and make it their base!”
“No, wait and study. Even though the advance to the capital was moved up, the most important thing is the two of you passing the exams. Use the remaining time to push yourselves and study.”
Gloomy
Ryu could not argue with his father’s reasonable point and, along with Leanne, turned to their studies.
In the evening, Sebastian, Cecile, and Hanna returned from their outing.
They all entered Ryu’s room, so the innkeeper, feeling that she should say something, knocked on the door and entered to find only Ryu and Leanne inside.
“Oh? Where did everyone who came earlier go?”
It was understandable that the innkeeper was puzzled, but Ryu answered honestly.
“Oh, they have already gone home. Sorry for the trouble.”
Ryu bowed and apologized to the innkeeper.
“Oh, is that so? Then it’s fine. I wonder if Baron Landmark will come again?”
The innkeeper looked puzzled, but when Ryu told her,
“Father is still out greeting people and hasn’t returned yet, so he’ll come by later to greet you.”
She was relieved.
“Oh, there’s no need to go to such lengths. As an innkeeper, I shouldn’t be so picky. Please make yourselves at home until the exams.”
With that, the innkeeper left.
Father Farza returned late.
Just as Ryu finished studying and was about to go to bed, he sent Farza off with a bit of alcohol in him and went to sleep himself.
The next day, Sebastian took Ryu to the capital city first thing in the morning and then went out.
Farza planned to pick him up again at noon and decided to study with Leanne.
“Sebastian seems to have a hard time.”
Leanne expressed concern for the butler.
“Now that you mention it… Considering he’s unfamiliar with the area, Sebastian might indeed be struggling to find a house.”
Ryu replied, realizing that Sebastian might be having the toughest time.
“If he hasn’t returned by today, it might be a good idea to help him out as a break.”
Leanne suggested, either as an excuse to avoid studying or out of genuine concern for Sebastian.
“That sounds good. Let’s help him!”
Ryu agreed enthusiastically.
Of course, Ryu’s enthusiasm was mainly because he was tired of studying.
He returned to the Landmark family’s home with Leanne for lunch and, on the way back, brought Farza to the capital city.
Farza seemed to be gathering information about the capital from acquaintances, but in return, he had to buy drinks, which meant he had to drink as well.
With this excuse, Farza went out again.
Ryu decided to keep this from the busy Sebastian.
