Welcoming party
TL/ED: Bogdi
“What’s the story, tell me.”
I asked the president, who smiled at me.
“Transfer students at this time of the year are rare and cross-cultural exchange is a necessary form of communication. This was an instruction from the principal.”
I see. It’s really simple and straightforward ……, isn’t it, principal? Well, it is true that Russians are rare. Perhaps there is only one Lida in this school, and it is proof that she is treated well. If so, I welcome it.
“I understand. Shall we have a simple welcoming party for Lida during this lunch break?”
“”Yes! I’m glad. Thank you, Oojirou, Azusa-chan and Suzu-san!”
There was a gorgeous lunch box on the table.
It was a fillet pork cutlet bento that looked like something you’d order at a fancy Japanese restaurant. It’s a luxury that would make the students fighting for yakisoba bread in the cafeteria shed tears of blood if they saw it now.
I took a seat together with Lida.
“So, welcome Lydia-san — cheers.”
Azusa made a simple toast.
We join her in a toast.
But it’s just water, I suppose.
I took a pair of chopsticks, carefully broke them apart and sandwiched the golden battered fillet cutlet between the chopsticks. At that point, I felt the crispy texture from my fingers to my brain.
“Oh …”
“This is a filet mignon. Looks delicious~! Hey, can I just eat it like this?”
“I think it’s best to eat it as it is at first. We have a special sauce, though.”
“I understand. I understand. …… Mogumogu.”
Lida seemed shocked, as she tasted the filet mignon. As soon as she swallowed, her eyes sparkled with emotion.
“Oh, I see you like it. I’m glad it suits your taste.”
Apparently, this fillet cutlet bento was bought by the president. I don’t know where she bought it, but the fat in the fillet cutlet was not too greasy, and it was light and tasty.
“Oojirou-kun, do you want me to give you the ‘Ahh’?”
“Saotome. You’re the head of the public discipline committee, but you’re a otaku-friendly gal. I’ve never heard of FF Yin-Yang before.”
“I’ve never heard of FF Yin-Yang. Isn’t that just a normal term for the other half? It’s not the type of person Oojirou-kun is. It’s not that he’ s normal, it’s just that he seems to be very close to …… Lida, is she his girlfriend?”
(TLN: Some sort of Final Fantasy thing I don’t understand smh)
That’s the type of person I am.
I play FPS and games, read manga and novels. I guess I’m a bit of an otaku, though. Apparently, they don’t get that image too much because of the way I look.
“Is Lida your girlfriend?”
“You know, you went to school with her in the morning.”
” Oh, yeah… coincidence.”
By the way, we never talked about living together. I glanced at Lida.
“Yes, Oojirou. Ah~n.”
There was a half-eaten filet mignon in her mouth. I took it as a deception, but….
Both Saotome and the president froze. …… I’m done, I’m done!
