The Apocalypse.
It’s not something to be taken lightly, but this apocalypse can be translated as a ‘Game Over’ for the player.
Bad Ending.
An ending where humanity faces extinction.
Most of these endings lead to the ‘extinction of humanity’.
‘By sending angels.’
The Goddess above in the sky, outside the planet, wishes to destroy humanity and create a new race.
A new humanity of her own design. However, since humanity does not easily become extinct through ordinary means, the Goddess aims to annihilate humanity through every possible method.
For example, Esta.
She is referred to by people as the [Eternal Maiden], but the people at the Academy used to mock her with that title.
As various situations unfold, Esta becomes desperate and is pushed to the extreme.
‘After a mental breakdown, an angel descended upon her physical form.’
Her persona as a heroine is erased, and an angel, akin to an AI bent on destroying humanity, inhabits her body.
Esta then unleashes unicorns across the world.
These unicorns, formed from divine power, eradicated everything they could not accept, and humanity had to either abandon its instinct for survival or hide from the unicorns’ patrols, continuing life in underground bunkers or places the unicorns could not reach.
It is a world where situations resembling an ‘apocalypse’ are likely to occur.
Since the catalyst for this is ‘the heroine’s mental breakdown’, Changyeom and I have pondered this extensively.
– Most people are not easily hurt to the point of giving up their sense of self.
Changyeom analyzed the process through which original heroines experience bad endings based on my memory of gameplay data.
– If a woman would wish for the world’s destruction just because she’s mocked for being an old maid, then even an angel could easily subdue such a fragile mentality.
The heroines were different.
– They are not people with ordinary mentalities. Even if trapped in a battle royale system, they would somehow manage to survive together or sacrifice themselves so that others might live. Though, there may be some with slightly different tendencies.
Heroines do not easily break down mentally, and even if such an event occurs, they quickly regain their composure and rise up.
– The ultimate trigger for a heroine becoming an angel is ‘love’.
However, even these heroines have limits they cannot endure.
Love.
A woman’s heart.
More precisely, the emotional conflicts arising from being a ‘heroine’.
– Do you know what happens when a heroine awakens as an angel? It’s when the protagonist has created routes with various women but, without forming a romantic relationship, ends up dating another woman.
It was because of the ‘pre-marital element’.
– When the protagonist chooses one woman, it leads to the discarding of all other women? Oh? Wasn’t that one dating me? But now he wants to marry someone else? I trusted him, I trusted him. That’s how it happens. Puhehe.
While social injustices can be tolerated, the emotional damage to a broken girl is something difficult to restore, which was the heart of the heroines in the original story.
For instance.
– A girl who has lived her whole life focusing only on money decides to sacrifice everything for a man, only for him to immediately touch another woman as soon as they start dating?
<Golden Apocalypse> begins.
A world where every human’s value is measured as capital, and a world that moves only by capital arrives.
– A girl who was taught from a young age that ‘incest is the tradition of the family and the way to continue a great lineage’ falls for a man from an external lineage, only to find him preferring a woman of inferior lineage to herself?
<Incest Apocalypse> begins.
…Although the prefix ‘OO’ before the apocalypse varies by heroine, it seems that all these apocalypses ultimately lead to ‘human extinction.’
– It is possible to physically solve the problem if the Goddess directly sends angels from the sky. However, when the Apocalypse starts with an angel ‘descending’ into the heroine’s body, it is something we find difficult to control.
While descending from the celestial realm is manageable due to its otherworldly nature, heroines are ‘grounded in this world’.
They even have talents that could reach A-rank or S-rank or higher individually.
Therefore.
The most certain way to prevent them from experiencing such events.
– Just turn them into a harem?
If they are likely to suffer a mental breakdown over their man dating other women, make them think from the beginning that ‘I am a member of a harem’.
– Forcefully implant it in their minds. Yes, that one line.
What is pure love?
Pure love, which gazes solely at one person, is a sentiment that is as beautiful and noble as it is, but it can bring about the end of the world.
Therefore.
To prevent the extinction of humanity, to ensure the survival of this world, and to stop the Goddess from sending angels to destroy humanity, we have no choice but to act.
– Harem Pure Love!
….
– Instead of letting the indecisive protagonist lead to the apocalypse, it is better to first secure the blond and tanned Demon King’s harem members. This is the way to protect the world!
All of this is for the well-being of this world and for revenge against the Goddess.
* * *
Softly, softly.
As I talked briefly about Esta’s future while giving Yunia a massage.
“Are you asleep?”
Yunia had fallen asleep.
It might be worrying to think that someone like the hero they met today could turn into a tyrant who could bring about the world’s destruction in the distant future—
[I came here to prevent that.]
At those words, Yunia gave a short nod and entrusted her body to my hands.
Just like on the bus.
With my warm hands, made warm with magic, I gave her a thermal massage, easing the fatigue and toxins built up in her body, stabilizing the flow of mana, and preparing her for a restful sleep.
A type of sleep therapy.
Just like when she got off the bus, Yunia would wake up the next morning feeling as refreshed as if she had slept for over twelve hours.
The problem is—
‘In my bed, in my room.’
Yunia had fallen asleep.
Whether she had temporarily forgotten that this was not her room or if she was deliberately pretending not to know in order to stay in my room is known only to her.
If I had to guess—
‘She must be trying to protect me.’
Just like in the inn in Pregnant, Yunia seems to have her own sense of mission.
She must protect me.
Regardless of the male-female relationship, she has to help ensure I don’t fall victim to any suspicious actions from other women.
‘Gender reversal?’
…That’s not it.
There are simply elements that make it seem that way right now.
And because of those elements—
Knock, knock.
Someone knocking lightly outside the door is not showing any particular hostility.
Swoosh.
I lifted the blanket for Yunia who was sleeping and went outside.
Creeeak.
As I quietly opened the door, Esta, still in her instructor’s uniform, scanned me from top to bottom.
“Inside—”
“Shh.”
I mimed putting my finger to my lips toward Esta and pointed to the bed.
“Yunia is asleep. Shall we talk outside?”
“…Let’s do that.”
Esta glanced at me, the room, and the sleeping Yunia before stepping back.
Although she must have already heard the conversation inside with her ears perked up, there was a hint of concern.
“What is it?”
“Are you planning to sleep in your room?”
“Is that a problem?”
“…Do you think it’s okay for a man and a woman to sleep in the same room?”
As I closed the door and stepped into the hallway, Esta asked me in a serious tone.
“Really?”
“I have one thing I’m curious about.”
“What is it?”
“Are you worried about Yunia, or are you worried about me?”
Originally, this would be an event that occurs when the protagonist is around the third year.
However, since the event settings seem to have been unlocked for some reason, this is one of the common sense issues of the current era.
“Can you trust Yunia?”
Directly.
“Can you be sure she won’t attack you while you’re sleeping?”
At this moment, a man with magical power is in a more dangerous situation than a woman.
“Yes.”
“…Why?”
“If she intended to attack me, she would have done so already during the night we spent in town or when we stayed at the terminal.”
“…”
Esta nodded heavily.
“Of course, I don’t think Miss Yunia is so mana-deprived that she would need to absorb a man’s mana to that extent. But…”
“No. Be cautious. All women are foxes.”
Esta said firmly and pointed to the back of the hallway.
“In the old school building… the Academy dorms strictly separate men and women. Men don’t wander around at night. Do you know why?”
“Is it because of [Mana Drain]?”
“Yes.”
Mana Drain.
Another term for it is ‘charm absorption’.
Esta pointed towards the window.
“About a year ago, after some idiots released the S-rank monsters [Nine-Tailed Fox] and [Succubus Queen], during that year, the demon magic they spread taught women how to absorb mana very quickly.”
Esta’s gaze shifted subtly towards me.
“Be really careful. There were 13 victims last year at the Academy alone.”
“…Pardon?”
“Have you heard the saying ‘The more you have, the more you get’?”
“Of course. It’s common sense in the world, isn’t it?”
“Yes. The methods of the Nine-Tailed Fox and Succubus Queen… it’s simply because as long as it’s ‘a man and a woman’, it is always possible.”
Esta sighed deeply.
“Be careful not to lose your vitality. Losing your vitality means losing your mana, and…”
“Is it because even women from Vinyudan can grow enough to be admitted to the Academy?”
“…Yes.”
Esta moved closer and lowered her voice.
“Actually, several students have been observed.”
“…!”
Esta mimicked blocking her nose with her hand.
“My familiar observed it. They are already targeting various men.”
“…”
“You are a special admission student. Miss Yunia is the same, but especially for you, there will be even more women targeting you.”
“Why is that?”
“There’s a superstition.”
“Superstition?”
“Yes.”
Esta pointed at my face.
“Blond hair, tanned skin, and blue eyes. According to public statistics, vitality is often seen as a symbol of having more vitality on average.”
“…”
“Did I misunderstand something?”
“No.”
I saw it accurately.
“This is only for you, Instructor.”
I lowered my head and whispered in Esta’s ear.
“I’ll probably be the strongest in the world.”
“…!”
Esta’s body tensed immediately.
I wasn’t lying.
“I’ll be careful not to have my vitality drained by Mana Drain. Thank you for the advice, Instructor Esta.”
“…Ah, and if by any chance.”
Esta, with a truly serious face, placed her hand on my shoulder and nodded vigorously.
“If you think someone might attack you at night, come find me. I’ll make sure to guard you at night.”
Her gaze was completely free of any malicious intent.
“You are a man who is now worrying all the faculty…”
Her look was so pure, like a police officer or teacher looking at a potential victim who might be in danger of a crime.
‘This is tough.’
I need to create such a woman.
“Thank you, Instructor.”
I need to make her.
“I’ll definitely ask you later.”
A woman as ‘angelic’ as this, with hidden intentions, to attack me.
Until she can no longer ride the unicorn on her own.
– Yes, you are at fault. With such a body and behavior, tempting me…!!
[Corrupt].
