The fact that the Landmark family’s stall was set up at a corner just off the main street was quickly noticed by those standing at the back of the long line formed in the square.
They could already see that side starting to get noisy.
Those who noticed it quietly left the line and ran toward that side without telling anyone.
The people who were in front of them in the line also sensed this and left the line to run in the same direction.
Gradually, this became a flow, and someone said,
“Hey? Could it be that the young master’s stall is over there?”
Hearing this, the people in the multiple lines that had formed in the square suddenly rushed towards Ryu and his group’s stall.
Ryu’s followers, or rather, the children of the group dedicated to protecting Ryu’s sister Hanna, organized the line.
At the front of the line were villagers from the outskirts who waited nervously.
A man standing behind them said,
“You’re outsiders, aren’t you? How did you figure it out so quickly? I missed out last year, so I skipped work and waited for Young Master Ryu and his group at the mansion, but you beat me to it.”
“We just got lucky, I guess…”
“What, it was luck? Well, you seem to be blessed with good fortune for next year too! Ha ha ha!”
As they waited in line, they chatted and excitedly anticipated the sweets that Ryu had prepared for this year.
At noon, the Harvest Festival began with a loud magical announcement in the sky above the square.
“Now, the Landmark family’s stall is open for business!”
Ryu announced loudly to the line.
A cheer rose from the crowd.
The first group at the front paid and received crepes decorated with lots of fruit, whipped cream, and chocolate.
The group, moved by just the appearance of the crepes, froze in place but were guided to the square by the children and began to eat slowly.
“This is the most delicious thing I’ve ever had…!”
“Me too! I’ve never had anything so sweet and tangy with fruit before!”
“I’m glad we came today!”
“So this is the famous Young Master Ryu’s sweets that I’ve heard so much about! Wonderful!”
“Creeps are amazing, Dad!”
The square was filled with waves of people moved by the best taste they had ever experienced.
Ryu and his group were so busy with the never-ending line that they couldn’t directly see the reactions, but the children told them how highly praised they were.
“See? I told you! These crepes are the best! And Ryu, who made them, is amazing!”
Leanne praised Ryu, smiling as if it were her own success, and Hanna nodded vigorously beside her.
Ryu, too, sold the crepes with a beaming smile, receiving the highest praise from the townspeople.
They had prepared 1,200 servings, which sold out by the evening.
They had prepared twice as many as last time, but many people from not only the territory but also remote villages came, having heard the rumors, making it so crowded that it seemed like there were that many people in the Landmark territory. The crepes sold out in no time.
Ryu and his group were glad that many townspeople were satisfied again this time.
Then, they distributed the leftover crepes and tips to the children who had helped, and the Landmark family’s stall, hugely successful again this year, closed with a sense of regret that this might be the last year.
Ryu quickly packed up the stall using his magic storage.
“What about next year?”
Leanne asked.
“Well… I’m planning to ask Tauro-onii-chan, but if necessary, I could come back using the ‘Dimension Corridor’…”
Ryu glanced at Leanne.
“If that’s the case, I want to participate too!”
“Of course, right…”
Unfortunately, Ryu’s ‘Dimension Corridor’ could only accommodate him and someone small like Hanna.
While items could be stored in Ryu’s ‘Magic Storage’, people couldn’t.
Thinking of Leanne, Ryu decided to put it on hold and focus on improving his ‘Dimension Corridor’ skills for now.
