The eldest son, Tauro; the second son, Jiro; the third son, Ryu; the eldest daughter and youngest child, Hanna; and Leanne.
The five of them were strolling through the Landmark town.
Sima was not present as he was busy running around since morning to learn the job from his grandfather, Sebastian.
Sebastian was as strict as ever with his family.
Usually, Sebastian was kind to Ryu and the others, but he strictly instructed and made his grandson Sima study as an apprentice butler whenever he returned home for a break. Sima himself was also motivated for the sake of the Landmark family, which made them all feel the need to stay focused.
“The craftsmen’s street has become quite crowded.”
Tauro, the older brother, nodded to himself as he looked out at the street.
“That’s because we treat craftsmen well, so people keep moving here from other places.”
Jiro responded to his brother.
“Hey, Tauro-onii-chan. Speaking of which, you’re about to graduate soon, right? What are you going to do about Ellis?”
Ryu asked Tauro, hinting at something.
“Of course, I’ll come back here.”
Tauro replied, not understanding Ryu’s implication.
“No, I mean, what about Lady Ellis, whom you’re dating?”
“””Ah!”””
Tauro, Jiro, and Leanne finally understood when they heard Ellis’s name.
Hanna, you figured it out, didn’t you? That’s complex for big brother, you know?
Ryu, realizing Hanna had understood, worried that she might be too precocious.
“After graduation, you won’t be able to see her, so you’ll be exchanging letters. That could lead to becoming distant, so you need to think about the future.”
“That’s true! I need to think about it seriously.”
Tauro agreed, looking enlightened and starting to ponder as he walked.
“I guess I should visit the Bridge family and propose to Ellis’s father, the Count.”
Tauro concluded after some thought.
“Before that, you need to propose to Ellis herself!”
Leanne interjected into their conversation.
Hanna nodded vigorously at Leanne’s words.
“Right, Ellis first!”
Tauro realized.
Ryu worried about Tauro, but thought maybe he was just that close with Ellis and had overlooked the obvious.
“When I get back to school, I’ll propose to Ellis.”
Tauro said easily.
Will he be able to set the right atmosphere?
Ryu worried.
Of course, it’s their decision.
But still, creating the right atmosphere is important for such a once-in-a-lifetime event.
Though he can’t speak from experience since he was unmarried in his previous life!
While Ryu was wondering how to put it,
“Tauro, it’s a special moment for Ellis, so make sure you create a beautiful atmosphere, like a place with a nice view or a fancy restaurant.”
Leanne suggested.
Ryu was surprised to hear such words from Leanne, but nodded, recalling seeing something similar on TV in his previous life.
“On that day, we need to make sure Jiro and Sima don’t ruin the moment.”
“Right, it seems like Sima is always around when Tauro and Lady Ellis are together.”
Jiro recalled.
“Always!?”
Ryu was surprised and looked at Tauro for confirmation.
“Yes, except during classes, Sima is usually with me.”
Tauro reminisced about his school life.
“He’s a model butler apprentice, but… We need to make sure Sima stays away on that day… Jiro, can you handle it?”
Ryu emphasized to Jiro.
“…I get it. This is an important mission.”
“Why don’t you just tell Seema directly?”
Leanne suggested the obvious.
“Even if you tell him, Sima tends to be inflexible about these things.”
Ryu explained to Leanne.
Tauro and Jiro, setting aside their own faults, nodded in agreement.
“That may well be the case.”
And so, he came to terms with it.
At the beginning of the new year, Tauro returned to school and proposed to Lady Ellis the day before graduation, which she accepted.
After graduation, he visited Count Bridge and obtained his approval, officially becoming engaged. But that’s a story for another time.
