Even if summoned creatures are brought from different worlds, that doesn’t mean they can’t fight together.
Elaine and Kiharu might team up and pull off a ‘Cat Tower Meta.’
Dry and Illinois might join forces and enter an infinite bombardment mode, supported by Super AI.
What about Justice?
Justice’s strength is not to be underestimated—but he tends to act solo.
Why? Because the ones who truly synergize with Justice are part of the unit from which he was summoned—[Great Robo Wars SSS].
For example, a gigantic dragon.
A single unit shaped like a dragon already boasts immense power, but it can transform further when paired with ‘Dragon Knight Justice’ who rides it, or even combine into ‘Dragonian Justice,’ where the dragon morphs into additional parts.
Or take a case where, in Season 1, it appeared as an enemy, then reformed and joined the allies from Season 2 as something like ‘Justice Unit No. 2.’
In that case, while an actual transformation might not occur, it could still serve in a modular role like a “Gun Cannon”—or be part of a paid gacha combo move you need to spend 3 million won to unlock.
In short, to activate such combo attacks, you’d need to summon another mecha besides Justice.
But—is that really necessary?
It’s not that Justice’s firepower alone is insufficient.
The real issue: is it absolutely necessary to summon the specific mechas that originally combined with Justice in the source material, just to execute joint attacks?
The answer is no.
Since the sixth summon hasn’t been decided yet, there’s no reason to deliberately summon those who were originally Justice’s “parts.”
Justice himself might be a little hurt by this, but even if it’s not the original combination partners, we can still produce similar synergy within our team.
Like right now.
[UOOOOOOOOO!!]
Kugugugugu!
Illinois crashes straight into the dragon.
Despite the dragon’s many rearward-reaching arms, it collapses backward, and Illinois runs forward by stomping on the dragon’s bending head.
[Let’s go, Illinois! This is a true mass-based attack!]
You might say that using Illinois’s weight as an attack could injure her—but just like Justice said, this combo attack—mass attack <Illinois Buster>—was tremendously effective.
Behold.
Illinois, a steel warship 250 meters long, falls onto the dragon.
Not just falling—she crushes the dragon from the front, trampling it and standing atop its chest.
KUUUUUUUUUUUM!!
Illinois lands squarely on the dragon.
The dragon’s arms, which had tried to reach downward, get pinned under its own and Illinois’s weight—crushed and mangled.
The dragon screams into the sky.
[Hrrk—!]
Just before Illinois crashes down, Justice leaps aside and lands on Illinois’s deck.
Proportion-wise, this scene’s a total mess—but when it comes to defeating this dragon, none of that matters.
“Kyahhh…!”
In front of the cockpit, Yui Otohara is hanging on tightly to Justice’s outer armor with both hands.
Her sheer will to not fall off was enough to make me want to throw her a passing token.
Because from here on out, Justice needs to move even more violently.
[Come forth, Sword Breaker!!]
Justice extends his hand into the air, opening a wormhole—and a massive greatsword emerges.
Is he about to unleash some Brave Swordsmanship?
No, the command Justice received is not to slice the dragon clean in two.
“Justice! Stab the dragon’s neck and pin it in place somehow!”
[Understood, partner!]
Justice sprints across Illinois’s deck and leaps high into the air.
As he flips the sword into a reverse grip and plunges it straight downward—
Puuuck!
Kyaaaaagh!!
The dragon lets out a scream.
The greatsword pierces through its scales and embeds deep into the earth below, pinning it like a giant nail.
Thunk, thunk, THUUM!!
From Illinois’s side, loud impact noises echo out.
The dragon twists its broken arm free and begins to wildly hammer Illinois from both sides using bony, skeletal weapons in hand.
“Dry! Intercept the arms! Yui Otohara, take the right!”
“Roger!”
“Y-Yes!!”
Startled by Dry springing into action at my command, Yui Otohara flinches for a second—but quickly understands the situation and begins attacking the dragon’s right arm.
Tadadadang!
The sound of gunfire.
You might wonder how a simple pistol could be effective here, but Dry is clearly one of my summoned creatures—and classified as an SS-rank Hunter.
Bzzzzzt!
Bullets of electricity from Dry’s pistol paralyze the dragon’s arm.
Sure, Dry lacks the raw firepower or lethality of Illinois or Justice, but that doesn’t mean she’s useless in a fight like this.
And the same goes for a Hunter who conquered over 10 S-rank towers and entered Babel.
“F-Flames, arise!!”
Yui Otohara summons fire.
The flames swirl like a fox’s head, then split into a dozen flaming foxes that strike the dragon’s arm and explode.
‘Did that stop it?’
KWAANG!
The explosions are weaker than expected—but the dragon’s right arms, entrusted to Yui Otohara, are more damaged than anticipated.
Was it the explosion?
More likely, it was the crushing weight when it was slammed to the ground earlier.
The body and chest are being pinned by Illinois’s weight.
The long, stretched neck is pinned by Justice’s embedded greatsword.
The outstretched wing arms are being held off by Dry and the local Hunter, Yui Otohara.
[Partner! Now’s the time!]
With Justice’s shout—this was the perfect moment.
“Elaine!”
“I’ve been waiting for you, Master.”
Elaine bursts out of the cockpit.
Sliding down along Justice’s greatsword, she charges forward with a new sword in hand—shoulder-to-shoulder with a cat perched atop her.
Kyaaaah!
The dragon forces its head forward, exhaling breath with all its might.
Its breath attack—intent on breaking free of this deadlock—rains down like acid, no, like a shower of miniature meteors, aimed straight at the dragon’s own neck—at Elaine.
“Not so fast.”
Now. This is the moment.
“Alice, I’m leaving summon management to you.”
I turn my smartphone sideways and quickly swipe through the screen.
A brief delay.
Then the screen switches to show Elaine sprinting ahead.
Gugugugu.
The powerful acid breath crashes toward the battlefield.
And right as it’s about to hit—
Evade.
Elaine flickers forward, turning into a shimmer of white light just before contact.
As her body rapidly closes in on the dragon’s jaw, the beast panics and violently shakes its head from side to side.
Gugugugu.
The screen shakes violently.
The moment I sense Elaine’s posture falter, I stop manipulating the controls and pull my hand back.
PA-AANG!
Elaine instantly leaps forward.
Even without my control, she moves swiftly on her own and channels mana into her blade.
That sword—
Unlike the frostblade from before, it’s a straight sword, its coloration a blend of black and white, reminiscent of a maid’s attire.
A unique weapon made and distributed by the game studio NPia solely for Elaine—not as a game character, but as the Hunter known as <Maid>.
It has no name.
Just one title: <Blade for My Master>.
Elaine loads it with mana, with aura—and launches herself with a tremendous leap.
Kyaaaahng!!
The dragon opens its maw, attempting to unleash another breath attack at Elaine.
Because I wasn’t controlling her, part of the breath grazes her skin, causing her body to rise and tremble from the burning pain—
Fssssss!
A greenish light flickers somewhere, and Elaine’s pupils narrow into vertical slits.
Had I not seen it through the game screen, I would have never noticed it—
The form of Kiharu residing within Elaine’s body.
Though she can’t wield the full power of the Goddess who brings Apocalypse, she absolutely retains the ability to constantly heal the protagonist so they never fall.
PA-AANG!
Elaine kicks off the air, soaring over the dragon’s open jaws—and falls directly onto its forehead.
“Got you.”
I place my hand on the screen.
At the same time, the boss HP bar appears above:
<Tai-Chi Wyvern Sky Emperor Dragon King – Gouban>
“Don’t care.”
Names?
“You’re the boss of this Babel zone, huh?”
There’s no need to remember the name of a boss I’m about to destroy.
“Take this—my full QER combo!”
The moment Elaine lands on its brow, I mash every shining button on the screen.
KIAAAAAAK!!
The dragon screams.
Unlike when it was pinned to the ground, this was a cry of existential pain—as if its very essence was being shredded.
Not enough.
Then I’ll just ramp up the firepower.
“I never intended to end this with Elaine alone.”
Flash!
Justice’s cockpit screen lights up.
I continue Elaine’s combo with one hand while using my other to tap on the touchscreen.
“I’ll shave down the HP of the ‘other side’ too.”
Click.
As soon as I press the screen, Illinois launches missiles left and right.
The missiles twist midair with perfect 180° arcs—and slam into the dragon’s torso that Illinois is sitting on.
Gugugugugugu.
The explosions rattle the entire area.
While Elaine’s skill is on cooldown, I make her dodge more acid breath, and switch screens.
“Justice!”
[On it, partner!!]
Justice’s screen now also displays an HP bar.
Unlike Elaine’s, this one is full.
It’d be nice if they were linked—but since they’re not, a new opportunity presents itself.
“I’ll kill you three times over.”
Action RPG, MMO naval shooter, and SRPG.
Across these three genres—
This boss of Babel will—
KIAAAAAAAAH!!
Die. Three times.
Correction.
“You’re already dead.”
Three times.
Dead.
This is the battle of a Traveler, a Commander, a Wanderer, an Explorer, a Cult Leader—
And a Summoner.
My battle.
