They called it a place where KV warriors were created—but in truth, it was a bit different.
“What would be the most effective way to oppose the angels? The answer is simple: deploy demons.”
“Demons.”
“Yes. And demons, by nature, are masters of altering their appearance.”
I guided the two of them to a certain location within the laboratory.
“As you can see, the ones here appear, at a glance, to be no different from women. Whether they look like beautiful adult women or like young girls one would instinctively want to protect, they all share that same appearance.”
“Ah!”
Shuri gasped as she looked at one of the girls.
That girl, like the other children in the lab, was simply wearing a white one-piece dress—but she looked strikingly similar to someone Shuri herself had created.
“W-Wait… could it be…?”
“Yes. Every one of those ‘girls’ over there—are actually men.”
If you just looked at their faces, you’d think they were women.
Even with their shirts off, revealing their chests, they appeared feminine. The curves at their waists and hips also looked entirely like those of women.
No matter how you looked at them, they were entirely womanly—but in reality, they were male.
“This is… unbelievable.”
“Not all men are born with muscular or traditionally masculine physiques. There are a few who are born with very feminine appearances.”
They weren’t just “pretty boys.”
These were people who looked suspiciously perfect when cross-dressing.
The problem was how this society—especially at Esdinas Academy—treated such individuals. Worse even than in modern times.
“Do you know what happens to boys who grow up looking more like girls from a young age? In normal households, they might try their best to encourage masculinity. But unfortunately, many nobles across the continent don’t let such boys grow up properly.”
“…You mean they turn them into girls?”
“They suppress masculinity and emphasize femininity. Some are made to grow breasts through experiments, others are castrated to remove their masculinity entirely. There are even those who, being the taste of certain nobles who prefer boys, are raised from childhood in slave markets to be molded to their preferences.”
“…”
“We can’t pretend such individuals don’t exist. You rarely see them enrolling in Esdinas Academy, but outside… yes, they exist.”
“…It’s like seeing an illusion shatter.”
Instructor Kadisha pressed a hand to her forehead. The stress was intense.
She pointed at the KV warriors—who looked like boys.
“So what exactly are you planning to do with them?”
“It’s simple. If Shuri’s illusion caused an angel to self-destruct, then these individuals, through physical action, can induce corruption.”
“Corruption of the angels…”
“You think they’re women, but they’re actually men. Just that realization would be shocking enough. But if the angels are physically overpowered and come to recognize the feminine side within themselves—what do you think will happen?”
“…”
“They stop being beings who wish to destroy humanity. Instead, they become beings who contribute to humanity’s prosperity. They accept the seed of humans—whom they once thought inferior—and fall, becoming mothers who birth humans from their own wombs.”
“T-That’s…”
Shuri opened her mouth cautiously.
“Like tentacle monsters laying eggs in… oh—no! Never mind!”
Maybe because they were in a mental realm, what Shuri blurted out felt dangerously close to a line.
Luckily, she didn’t go into detail, and the mood stayed within bounds.
Or maybe not.
“Just to be clear, in case you misunderstand—these types aren’t raised by taking young boys from some nursery and making them into KV warriors. Unless they have a clear and voluntary will, I have no intention of forcing anyone.”
“I doubt there are many among them who want to corrupt angels, though…”
“That’s where a little magical help comes in.”
The KV warriors who were gathered started disappearing in different directions.
“They don’t have to be raised as women from the start.”
Those who still had somewhat masculine features quietly returned to their rooms.
“What matters is that they look beautiful enough for the angels to approach, thinking they’re women. That alone is enough.”
Those with suspiciously prominent chests, wide hips, and clearly feminine figures placed a hand on their abdomens.
With a loud “paf!”, white smoke burst forth.
“Look. What do you think?”
“…”
“G-Good heavens…”
Beyond the smoke—
Men with thick, chiseled muscles stood there.
The kind you might see in some deep, dark leather club. They glanced over, winked, and vanished.
“Not everyone who saves humanity has to do it by corrupting angels for the sake of peace. Even those who derive pleasure from those angels, who stain their divinity and drag them into filth with dark demonic magic… even they could be humanity’s salvation.”
“…Huh.”
Instructor Kadisha quietly raised her hand.
“Can we leave now? I’m starting to get a real headache here.”
“Is that so? Out of the eight care facility concepts, we’ve only properly reviewed about two so far…”
“What exactly is in the next one?”
“Well, one of them would be the one Shuri just mentioned earlier. You know how in dark fantasy settings there are certain types of terrestrial magical beasts… There are some rather unsavory ones among them, and they could also be used to corrupt angels.”
“Okay. That’s enough.”
“…”
Kadisha tightly shut her eyes.
But Shuri briefly glanced toward the corridor leading to the next sector, clearly curious—though she quietly fell back in line beside Kadisha, albeit a little disappointed.
“It’s definitely strange to see this kind of research being done in a facility for orphans, but in the end, this is about taking in children from painful circumstances around the world and raising them… to ensure they don’t suffer anymore as they grow. Right?”
“Yes. That’s the intent.”
“Alright. I’ll bring this up with the Academy. …But at the very least, we won’t allow children to be used as mere research material, or to be raised solely as demon girls meant to corrupt angels.”
“That is exactly what I’m hoping for as well.”
I, too, would very much prefer not to turn the entire orphanage into a specialized demon-boy raising facility.
“What I truly wish for is the healthy and proper growth of the children—that is my ultimate ideal.”
“You say all that after everything we just heard?”
“I can’t help it, can I? This isn’t my fault. It’s the angels who made us think this way—they’re the real bad guys here.”
All evil originates from the angels.
* * *
After exiting the hypnosis and mental projection.
“They say you showed Instructor Kadisha a truly horrific sight.”
“Rather than ‘horrific,’ I’d call it a visual representation of one possible extreme future humanity may face.”
I explained everything to Instructor Esta, who had summoned me—the concept and purpose of the care facility, and the training plans for certain individuals meant to become specialized angel corruption agents.
“Instructor Esta. Even if you reach the peak known as the Grand Sword Master—a level said to have been achieved by only one person in all of human history—you still wouldn’t be able to fully defeat an angel with just a sword. Do you know why?”
“Because I’m a woman?”
“Exactly. The first Grand Sword Master—the Hero—was a man. But you, Instructor Esta, are a woman. That creates a major psychological gap for angels.”
Being defeated by a male?
To an angel, that could trigger an unconscious association with “being taken.”
So while angels are extremely cautious around any human capable of defeating them in battle, the reaction differs if that human is a woman.
“To the angels, Instructor Esta is perceived as a ‘being who must be subdued and mounted.’”
“Like how men freak out when someone calls them weak in a fight, and they go all-out to prove otherwise?”
“Exactly.”
“So… what, I’m supposed to become a man? With magic?”
“Absolutely not. That would be a grave loss for all of humanity.”
Turning Instructor Esta into a man for the sake of corrupting angels would be an unforgivable waste.
“What needs to happen is this: Instructor Esta defeats and subdues the angels—and then tosses them to the men.”
“…”
“It’s not easy to weaken an angel’s magical power enough that even an average man could handle them. But to push an angel toward self-destruction or corruption, their magic must be worn down to the brink.”
“This really is… complicated.”
Instructor Esta covered her face with her hand.
“In that case, wouldn’t it be better to use criminals? Ones who specialize in that kind of… thing.”
“That’s not acceptable.”
“Why not?”
“Because the pursuit of base pleasure alone is not the path to humanity’s prosperity. And more importantly—it’s not Kyun Kyun.”
I placed a hand over my heart.
“It’s about a man’s true will—his burning desire to truly make her bear his child. That fierce emotion, the instinct as a male—that is what can truly lead an angel into maternal corruption.”
Not just into becoming a mere female—but into becoming a mother.
“It’s alright. The angels, at least on the outside, are all extraordinarily beautiful women.”
Their appearances are the ideal avatars they themselves chose.
If those avatars were to fall at the hands of men—
“Then all of this… is for the sake of humanity.”
