It’s a bit early to talk about a certain future daily life (romantic comedy) Part 2
Four sugar cubes. Three cartons of syrup. Two milk cartridges.
After putting in that much, it finally became sweet enough for Shiho to enjoy drinking.
“Ufufu… I’m a very mature … coffee drinker…!”
“I don’t know if you can call that coffee. So, uh, …… what was the story? Oh yeah, the one about Shiho becoming a p*mp.”
Kotaro returned to the story line with a small laugh.
The moment the word “p*mp” was mentioned, Shiho’s anger was rekindled.
“Don’t call me a p*mp. Call me a housewife or I’ll sulk. Look, I’ll puff out my cheeks like a blowfish.”
Unfortunately, the childlike way she expressed her anger at the age of 20 was not scary at all.
Kotaro watched it with a smile.
“I don’t really think of you as a p*mp. But if that’s what Shiho wants to be, I thought I’d support it.”
“–Ugghh. I can’t believe that there are people in this world who are sweeter to me than mom and dad… It’s so nice, I almost felt my heart give out.”
“Huh? I’m so sweet…, I’ll make it tough on you.”
“Stop it! I am a girl who grows more with praise than with scolding! I’ve been spoiled my whole life, and if you are too harsh with me, I’ll break down in a heartbeat.”
“But you know, … there’s a chance that spoiling you won’t do you any good.”
“Kotaro-kun? I’ll tell you three words I hate… they are ‘effort,’ ‘perseverance’, and ‘patience.”
She was unaware of it.
The destination of this thought was “p*mp”, but Shiho, who had been allowed to be lazy, was naive not only in her preferences, but also in her thinking.
Shiho was basically a sloth, wanting to do only what she liked, but there was one belief that she held absolute.
In order to protect that belief, she was willing to do anything even if she hated it.
That belief was “love for Kotaro”.
“Hmm… But if Kotaro-kun wants me to ‘make an effort’, then I’ll do my best… I want to be a housewife, but if you don’t want me to be a housewife, I’ll work, and no matter how hard it is, I’ll put my perseverance into it and endure it.”
If it was the words of the person she loved, she would do even something she hated.
Because there was nothing she disliked more than him disapproving of her.
“Hey, what do you want me to do, Kotaro-kun?”
At Shiho’s question, Kotaro shrugged and put his mouth on his coffee cup.
He looked down at the cup and then slowly removed his mouth from the cup.
The conclusion he came to was very ‘sweet’, just like their relationship.
“I think I’d like to live a life where Shiho is happy.”
“…Happy?”
“Yeah. If you enjoy working that way, that’s better, and if you enjoy doing housework, then do that. If you don’t want to do something alone, we’ll do it together. If Shiho doesn’t have any regrets and can lead a happy life, whatever form it takes is fine with me.”
–To begin with.
Shiho feared being disliked, but Kotaro had no thoughts of disliking her at all.
So, no matter what path Shiho chose, he would accept it.
However, there were some things that Kotaro could not compromise.
“So Shiho’s future should be properly considered and chosen by Shiho.”
He did not tie Shiho Shimotsuki down.
He loved her enough to stay by her side and accept whatever she does to him, but he didn’t want her to be a puppet for him.
He didn’t want her to look at his complexion. He didn’t want her to pay him a tribute. He didn’t want to be treated differently. Anyway, he wanted to lead a life together as equal human beings.
It was because he used to be a “puppet of the story” that he was now making such a wish.
Shiho’s face turned bright red and she was holding her chest in response to him.
“Wh-what should I do… I love you so much I think I’m going to throw up.”
Shiho, who had always had a sweet tooth, also seemed to be suffering from sugar induced heartburn.
